A version of home, and with this we were able to think outside the corporate box. A workplace that became a destination, with a vision to embrace an old school elegance with modern flair and amenities. Re-imagining this open area into a vibrant space with multiple views to keep the energy open and consistent, while using our design features to delineating programming. Using antique looking rugs made of carpet tiles created dedi­cated spaces while keeping the floorplan open for engagement among staff. Our loungey furniture selection boasts comfort and natural curves, keeping with the idea of a living room. As you sit and gaze out the windows you will now see the beautiful green space that was once hidden by high panel workstations. Planters throughout and a custom moss wall add the natural calmness and biophilic touch the interior space needed. The unique colour palette adds the playful, yet elegant, ambiance envisioned from the start.

Stepping in during the early stages of this 45,000 sq.ft. project, SGH partnered with Ipsos to help evaluate whether to relocate to a new office space or stay and renovate their current location to better suite their desire for a more collaborative work environment. After an extensive evaluation, the decision was made to go through with a renovation and design a new space that encourages collaboration and fosters connection amongst the teams. This project was complete in two phases of construction. Their new space is a state of the art workplace that met their budget and exceeded their expectations.

Cidel is an established Canadian based private bank and asset managing company that operates around the globe. They retained SGH as their interior design partner to consolidate two Toronto offices into one efficient 16,000 square foot office located on Bloor Street West in Toronto, Ontario. The inventive yet sophisticated design provides confidential client areas, natural light, exposed ceilings and crisp details that speak to Cidel’s strength and longevity.

Ivanhoe Cambridge is a global real estate company investing in properties and companies around the world. Inspired by their modern, industrial building, this 7,000 sq.ft. space in Vancouver was designed with concrete, wood and dark metals. SGH Design Partners combined these harder materials with transparent glass to optimize the natural light and allow for a clear view of the mountain and city to the north.  Blue, green and orange are featured throughout the space creating bold and fun accents.

Innovior Construction specializes in customizable manufactured interiors. Their 3,500 sq.ft. renovated office space in Vancouver was designed by SGH Design Partners to capture their approach towards revolutionizing spaces that are modular, sustainable and innovative. Through the use of earthy finishes and contrasting bold colours, the office is transformed into a dynamic workspace. Together SGH and Innovior designed a space that promotes flexibility, incorporates colorful accents and includes a green living wall, all creating a vibrant and energetic space.

Looking for a new concept that would showcase the company’s European roots their aim was to highlight their growth throughout the years and communicate the company’s overall brand and story. The new 9,000 square foot space is a combination of open work areas with enclosed offices and meeting rooms. The open ceiling created more vertical space, giving more focus on the high – contrasting architectural features along with the softer fabric and furniture palette.

This 50,000 sq.ft project for a 92 year old actuary business with offices in Canada and the Caribbean included full visioning, programming, and design process for the home of the new office at Yonge and Sheppard in Toronto, Ontario. The relocation provided an opportunity for a full transition of their offices which included ensuring all staff had access to natural light. This required all offices and enclosed spaces to be located around the building core, leaving the perimeter open.

As a company dedicated to client health, the design of their new 28,000 SF space was designed to represent their dedication to health in a visual and tactile way. Stepping into the ‘Hush’ space, you’ll feel the quality of materials, acoustic comfort, and thoughtfully curated furnishings that foster quietness, concentration, and privacy for focused work or contemplation. The ‘Active’ zone bursts with color and visual texture. An energetic and dynamic space where you’ll find collaborative areas designed for interaction, teamwork, and creativity.

Integrating user-centric Design was key. The entire design integrates AV components, ensuring that each area serves its purpose effectively. The design caters to user needs, balancing productivity, comfort, and engagement. Innovation rooms showcase the project’s intentions and goals. They attract staff by providing additional areas for collaboration, both in-person and virtually with global offices. The design harmoniously blends visual appeal, tactile comfort, and functional efficiency, creating an engaging and user-centric environment.

As you walk through the workplace you can feel the shift from Hush to Active. With careful use of materials, furnishings and finishes this space truly represents the ResMed brand.

SGH Design Partners was retained to design a fresh solution for the 36,000 square foot Munich Re, Toronto Office. This project opened up the existing work-structure and encourages interaction between the various teams and floors. A true transformation from closed office to a welcoming and dynamic space that set the standard for future work with the firm.
