Square Inc. is a leader in mobile payment technology. This tech-based company retained SGH to design their new space located in the heart of Canada’s technology triangle in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario. The building selected offered great historical bones, a brick and beam construction, and has features that are reflected in the simple and modern design of the space. The 9,700 square foot space has forsaken private offices in favor of shared meeting areas and breakout niches. Leaving one of the floors as a multi-use space, designed to have the capability of being reconfigured as needed for staff meetings, sharing meals or recreational use.
