A few of our designers had the pleasure of attending NeoCon this year in Chicago and they came back with some big inspiration, and lots of beautiful imagery of what they experienced so we thought we better share! Here is a short recap of the key design trends our designers saw on repeat!

Individual and Quiet Spaces

The appeal for a “quiet space” seems to be increasing. We are seeing many options for spaces that provide some privacy and are tucked away from the more collaborative zones. These furniture solutions provide an opportunity for heads down individual work in a comfortable setting.

Using Colours

Colour, colour, and more colour! An on-going trend this year is the beautiful array of unexpected colours, available for so many products. Beautiful, muted tones were everywhere, bringing a homey comfort to the workplace. A mix of these warm tones and vibrant colour palette options that left us feeling inspired and excited for their potential!

Along with the calming colors, the shapes were smooth and organic. We noticed lots of soft lines, a-symmetrical shapes and curved furniture that flowed in various organic shapes as opposed to sharp, hard lines.

Spaces that reflect a residential or hospitality atmosphere, offering relaxed seating, and more informal meeting spaces was still a prevalent theme at NeoCon.
Every brand our designers had the opportunity to take a tour with touched on their sustainable initiatives for bettering their product and their environmental footprint. Sustainable design is far from a new concept; however, it is an important one to continue to improve.

It’s no surprise that technology is driving the future, and it was no different this year at NeoCon. Elevated ways of making the working experience more tech driven with designs that are backed by science was apparent across the board.
